Delta College Lusaka Campus is located in a serene environment of the Lusaka Central Business District, in Kalundu. Delta College was established in 2015 and has been focused on various topical research and operational development.
Delta College programs are designed to not only train, but to also empower learners to apply themselves in a way that will enable them become innovative, productive and professional employees and employers.
Some of our field practical sites are Ngwerere Campus (Chongwe, Lusaka Province), Magweru Campus (Chipata, Eastern Province) and our Mfuwe Campus (Mambwe, Eastern Province).
We seek to give an opportunity to individuals wishing to advance in their ambitions and careers and also to provide quality environmental knowledge and skills in sustainable natural resource and food security management for Socio-economic development.
The contribution of and the cost to biodiversity and the environment in Zambias national economy in is not clearly known because the value of most activities based on their use and relationships is not reflected in national accounts. We, nevertheless, are able to note the involvement of the individual general components such as agriculture, forestry, and fishing to GDP.

Our Strategy: To take a community-engaging interdisciplinary training and research approach that explores the social, scientific, ethical, technical, and aesthetic aspects of environmental management.
Strategic Objective: To develop and implement a holistic and comprehensive training program that promotes access to efficient, effective and equitable quality capacity building as well as produce graduates that are able to implement change theory practices.
The Main Aim of our Diplomas and respective programs is to produce professionals and managers who are multi-disciplinary in approach and can view the management of biodiversity and the environment holistically.
Part of the practical site in Chipata, Eastern Province where studies include reforestation, stream rejuvination, food security and nutrition surveillance. We have noted that formal university or college education today (with very rare exceptions) is not tailored to the needs of in-the-field natural resources and food security technical officers and professionals.

OUR APPROACH
Delta College uses the learner-centered approach which builds understanding with the guidance of instructors. Students are enganged in training activities that help foster enthusiastic learning, intellectual growth, self-esteem and social responsibility.
Our mode of delivery is hybrid which combines online and in-person learning for all our learners regardelss which one is their main choice. Each learner will have an amount of one and the other modes.
Our Programs are deliberately designed to encourage learners to be innovative thinkers with good governance practices and an improved level of professionalism.
Since we are a field practical institution, we emphasise the importance of learners attending scheduled in-person practicals, either in their area of residence or at other Delta College selected practical sites.
Focusing on practical studies is the inspiration for application, as theory in itself is incomplete when giving a generation tools for resilience and adaptation in this ever growing and changing world.
Delta College promotes, through the programs that we offer, various career paths our learners can choose from. It's not about picking a program...It's about learning what you want to be! We help impart into our learners knowledge that they can utilize in different scenarios and disciplines.
