A-LEVELS

Delta College hosts the Climate Change Zambia Academy A-Levels. They are termed Application Level subjects due to their nature as well as the need for learner to be disciplined in applying themselves.

The A-Levels are a range of specialised subjects that on their own enable a learner to apply themselves practically in the work force and as entrepreneurs. They may also be used towards towards attaining a Delta College Diploma.

Depending on how many and which subjects are taken, a learner can be exempt for one diploma year in Food Security Management or Tourism Management.

We offer two sessions in a year with exams at the end of each session. Learners can take a maximum of three subjects per session.

Subjects may sometimes be seasonal for maximised practical study opportunities.

Delta College A-Levels are designed for flexibility and discipline

The Delta College A-Level program allows for flexibility. We understand the demand for personal resources in everyday lives and we give our clients the space to design their personal learning program around their own availability of time and other personal resources.

The teaching and learning of A-Levels differs from common secondary school systems. The subjects are condensed and demand understanding rather than memorizing. We also encourage a more hands-on approach to subjects while theory learning is more of an introduction to the subject matter.

Each A-Level subject is composed of a number of Modules that require intensive study. The subjects while taught in class and the outdoors, remain largely self-taught with the help of provided materials, study and learning spaces. Being self-driven is necessary for any learner doing our A-Levels.
